no seriously, that would be so awesome. particularly because I look at even brief quotes of GOP debates and such and it makes me wish that I was a citizen there just so I could help vote.


I spent yesterday watching clips from the Democratic national convention in the U.S. election of 1992, and back then everyone called it the Year of the Woman because of the election of significant numbers of women to key state and federal positions.  And one of the states, when called upon to submit their votes for the Democratic presidential nominee, listed off in its preamble the fact that it could boast a ticket of two women.

And then I’m like … twenty years ago two women on a ticket happened.  Now it could happen and actually maybe go somewhere.
